If you are interested
in a scenic float trip, the Skagit River offers beautiful scenery,
with opportunities to see some of the abundant wildlife in our
valley.
Although Bald Eagles can be seen year
round, the best eagle watching season is from December to
mid-February with eagle numbers peaking from Christmas through the
first week of
January.
Available
year round is our half day scenic float. Your trip begins in
Rockport WA, where we will meet and transport you up river 7
miles to the boat launch at Marblemount. From there you
will drift down the Skagit which meanders through the middle of the
Bald Eagle Sanctuary eventually ending up at Rockport.

Here at Ackerlund's
we believe that enjoying the Skagit begins with riding in comfort..
Our boats have propane HEAT for
those cold winter days as well as high backed cushion
seats. Something else that sets us apart from the
rafting trips is that we only take private groups. Floating
the Skagit is a great family outing and we encourage children from
toddlers on up.
We are fully licensed and insured and have
the appropriate permits from the U.S. forestry service to
operate on the Wild and Scenic Skagit river. All safety
gear is provided and your guides are certified
in C.P.R. and first aid.
